SBJ/SBD launches sports job board

SportsBusiness Journal/Daily has launched Career Link, a single, central marketplace and full-service job board for the entire sports industry. Career Link will feature a full range of positions, from entry to senior level, from every corner of the industry, including colleges, conferences, leagues, teams, sports commissions, tours, events, venues, agencies, brands and media companies.

Employers can augment job postings on Career Link with Turnkey Search premium services.
As part of the launch, SBJ/SBD has teamed with Turnkey Search, a division of Turnkey Sports & Entertainment, to allow employers to augment job postings with premium services from Turnkey to increase the efficacy and speed of hiring. Career Link and Turnkey also will provide job seekers with articles from SBJ/SBD on building a career in sports; in-depth information on employers gleaned from SBJ/SBD’s archives and Resource Guide Live industry database; and a slate of executive coaching services including credential review, interview prep and career planning.

“With our extensive reach into the industry through our category-leading magazine, digital publications and databases, conference programs and relationships with nearly 400 colleges and universities that offer sports management programs, we are very excited to offer this latest service to the industry,” said Publisher Richard Weiss. “Our Career Link will be a perfect complement to our role as the leading provider of daily and weekly sports business news and information. And we’re thrilled to team up with Turnkey Search, one of the pioneers and true leaders in executive search in sports.”

Accessible via the SBJ/SBD website, Career Link will be easily reached by hundreds of thousands of regular monthly visitors.

“Career Link immediately becomes Plan A for filling a position,” said Len Perna, CEO of Turnkey. “The entire industry will keep an eye on this job board, making it the very best source of ‘inbound’ job applicants. For employers, adding our ‘outbound’ search services to a posting, whether they’re an agency, brand or property, it’s hands down the most effective and efficient method for hiring in sports.”

Career Link was designed and developed by Omnigon, the award-winning digital consulting firm.

“We are thrilled to have worked with our long-term partners, SBJ/SBD, in the design and development of Career Link,” said Dave Nugent, Omnigon’s chief commercial officer. “This site will quickly become the go-to for both job applicants and companies within the sports industry while strengthening SBJ/SBD’s position as the leading provider of sports business news and information.”
