BGSU signs logistics provider

The Premium Group was named official logistics provider of Bowling Green State University football through 2016. The Toledo-based company will have exclusive rights to away-game transportation and also will receive in-game video board recognition at football and basketball games.

Sabres sign Delta Air Lines

Delta Air Lines entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Buffalo Sabres providing charter air service to the team this season. Delta will be featured on game-day signs at the Sabres’ First Niagara Center and sponsor in-game promotions. The Sabres become the ninth NHL team to use Delta air service.

Big Ten opens new headquarters

The Big Ten opened its new three-story, $20 million headquarters in Rosemont, Ill., and about 40 full-time employees of the conference moved into their new digs at the end of last month, according to a Daily Herald report. An interactive museum will be open to the public early next year.

COLUMBUS

Jackets designate T. Marzetti Co.
The Columbus Blue Jackets and T. Marzetti Co. reached a new multiyear partnership that designates the Columbus-based food company as the official sponsor of youth hockey moms. The centerpiece of the partnership is the Marzetti Youth Hockey Mom of the Year promotion.

Skyview, Jackets reach partnership
The Blue Jackets reached a new multiyear partnership with Skyview Networks to serve as official radio network provider. Skyview will provide its satellite distribution, AdView Inventory Management application and, in partnership with flagship station WBNS-FM, full broadcast production from its studios.

Chiefs crowd sets world record
A sellout crowd of 76,394 attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ Oct. 12 home victory against the Oakland Raiders and set a Guinness World Record for loudest crowd roar at a sports stadium. The reading of 137.5 decibels surpassed the record of 136.6 set by the Seattle Seahawks in September.

UW forming fan advisory council

The University of Wisconsin athletic department is forming an advisory council of fans, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The plan is to start with a group of 20 that will meet four times a year, and the goal of the program is to open a path of dialogue between UW athletics and its customers.

Saints create SnapChat account

The New Orleans Saints created a SnapChat account. Fans can follow the Saints by searching “Saints” in the “Add Friends” tab of the SnapChat app. Each snap of content lives for 24 hours before it disappears, making room for new snaps. Stories always play forward, to display moments in the order the user experiences them.

MSG, Rangers sign official hospital

Lenox Hill Hospital, part of the North Shore-LIJ Health System, and The Madison Square Garden Co. reached a new, multiyear marketing partnership designating Lenox Hill as the official hospital of the New York Rangers and an official partner of the arena.

Gore-Tex title sponsoring marathon
Gore-Tex signed on as title sponsor of the Philadelphia Marathon, which will be run next month. The company’s footwear products will be the focus of the sponsorship. An estimated 30,000 people are expected to participate in The Gore-Tex Philadelphia Marathon on Nov. 17, which will feature three races: the flagship marathon, a half-marathon and an 8K race.

FlexPrint keeps courtside club rights

FlexPrint will retain the naming rights to the Phoenix Suns’ courtside club as part of a multiyear partnership renewal beginning this season. The Phoenix Suns’ primary hospitality venue at US Airways Center will continue to be called the FlexPrint Club. FlexPrint has been a Suns sponsor since the 2009-10 season.

Kentucky Speedway and Quaker State reached a five-year sponsorship renewal for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race title sponsorship. The speedway’s retaining walls will be painted in Quaker State’s signature green and gold colors. The 2014 Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts will take place June 28.

Crunch marks 20th season
The Syracuse Crunch celebrated its 20th season Oct. 12. The pregame ceremony presented by Upstate University Hospital paired each member of the 2013-14 squad with a pediatric cancer survivor during player introductions. The American Hockey League team also raised 2013 East Division and Eastern Conference championship banners with the help of season-ticket holders and longtime sponsors.

NBA China, Yao partner on school

NBA China and Yao Ming are partnering to develop and operate the first NBA Yao School in Beijing. The school is scheduled to launch in February and will provide after-school basketball training and fitness programs for boys and girls aged 16 and younger.

Games’ architects earned $639M

Architects behind the London 2012 Olympics took home at least $639 million in public money for designing the Games’ flagship venues, legacy and infrastructure, according to an Architects Journal report. Nineteen key architects, engineers and designers netted more than $598 million in direct payments from the Olympic Delivery Authority between 2006 and 2013, according to the report.

Manchester United renewed its partnership with UNICEF. The partnership has raised about $4.8 million over the last 13 years.

Luzhniki aims for 2017 completion

Refurbishing Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium, the venue for the 2018 World Cup final, will take 3 1/2 years, according to an R-Sport report. The stadium closed after August’s world athletics championships. After the work is completed in 2017, the stadium will have a capacity of 81,000, up from 78,000 at present.

NBA helps launch youth program

Reliance Foundation and the NBA are beginning a multiyear program to launch a comprehensive school-based youth basketball program in India, according to a Times of India report. The first year of the initiative will operate in more than 150 schools.

SWANSEA, WALES
LG gets Swansea City rights

LG reached a commercial agreement with Swansea City AFC giving it exclusive marketing rights to the Premier League team’s electronic and mobile phone strategy, according to a Telecom Paper report. The LG brand will be displayed on the LED boards around Liberty Stadium on match days.
