People: Executive transactions

Baseball
The independent Atlantic League’s Lancaster (Pa.) Barnstormers promoted Kristen Simon to general manager and hired Lisa Riggs as president. Riggs was president of the James Street Improvement District in Lancaster.

Basketball
The Golden State Warriors promoted Bob Myers to general manager, replacing Larry Riley, who will remain with the organization as director of scouting.

The New York Knicks named Glen Grunwald executive vice president and general manager. Grunwald was interim general manager.

Colleges
Pac-12 Enterprises named Kristin Bredes director of talent and development. Bredes was director of talent for CBS Sports Network.

Hamline University promoted director of compliance and baseball coach Jason Verdugo to athletic director.

Southeast Missouri State University hired Mark Alnutt as athletic director. Alnutt was senior associate athletic director for administration at the University of Missouri.

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Athletic Director Rick Costello stepped down from his position.

Marshall University hired Jack Bogaczyk as director of publications and editor of the Herd Insider. Bogaczyk was sports editor for the Charleston (W.Va.) Daily Mail newspaper.

Millikin University hired Craig White as athletic director. White was an associate athletic director at the University of Georgia.

Temple University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Management named Andrew Lovell associate director of industry relations. Lovell was with the Adventure Aquarium and Currents Ballroom.

The University of California, Berkeley, hired Joe Shapero as CRM manager. Shapero was marketing coordinator for the National Sports Forum.

The University of Minnesota hired Norwood Teague as athletic director. Teague was athletic director at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Football
NFL Players Inc. hired Kathy Vu as vice president of licensing and business development. Vu was a consultant for DeMatteo Monness and formerly vice president of corporate partnerships for the LPGA.

The Jacksonville Jaguars hired J.P. Shadrick as communications coordinator. Shadrick was director of media relations and broadcasting for the Class AAA Pacific Coast League Oklahoma City RedHawks.

Hockey
The Columbus Blue Jackets named Marcus Stephenson digital marketing manager, Carson Barnes premium sales account executive and Alex Vitanye corporate development account executive.

Marketing
CAA Sports promoted Tess O’Sullivan to agent status and Marissa Edler to executive status in the baseball division.

Brian Connolly launched Victus Advisors, a market research and financial advisory consultancy. Connolly was a consultant for CSL International.

Media

Graciano
Fox Deportes promoted Steven Graciano to vice president of marketing and communications.

Dial Global hired Michael Schreck as senior vice president and director of corporate sports.

Multiteam Companies
Former NFL player Jean Fugett Jr. formed Fugett Sports Group.

Opening Day Partners named Tal Smith a special adviser. Smith was formerly president of baseball operations for the Houston Astros.

Other
iSportconnect appointed Michael Cunnah chairman.

The National Sports Forum named Chantelle Neep marketing coordinator.

Sporting Goods and Apparel
Adidas named André Maestrini managing director for Adidas Group Spanish Latin America, effective June 1, and Alain Pourcelot managing director for Adidas Group France.

Modell’s Sporting Goods hired Daniel Sheehan as chief operating officer. Sheehan was senior vice president and chief information officer for Dunkin’ Brands Inc.

Awards and Boards
The Miller Park stadium district board named Don Smiley chairman.

The NFLPA Former Players Department named Reggie Berry, Ron Davis and Derrick Frost to the board of directors.

The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry named Christina Li Wei to its board of directors.
