Sarah Farnsworth as senior vice president of public affairs. Farnsworth was deputy assistant secretary of defense for community and public outreach for the U.S. Department of Defense.
The Atlanta Braves expanded the role of assistant general manager Bruce Manno to oversee the player development department and promoted Ronnie Richardson to director of minor league operations and John Coppolella to director of professional scouting.
The Chicago Cubs hired Julian Green as vice president of communications and community affairs. Green was director of media relations for MillerCoors.

The Utah Jazz hired Rich Sheubrooks as executive director of global and pro scouting. Sheubrooks was director of global scouting for the Charlotte Bobcats.
