The NHL Toronto Maple Leafs promoted Dir of Player Development SCOTT PELLERIN to senior director of player development and Assistant Dir of Player Development STEPHANE ROBIDAS to director of player development. The team also hired Gold Medal-winning former Canadian women's ice hockey player HAYLEY WICKENHEISER as assistant director of player development (Toronto Maple Leafs).

COACHES/MANAGERS: GARY HOLT "verbally accepted" a rolling one-year deal to become head coach of Scottish Premiership side Livingston. Holt arrived at Livingston's stadium on Thursday to be appointed as KENNY MILLER's replacement. The club said that it hopes "contractual formalities will be officially completed" by Friday (BBC, 8/23).
