Marketplace Roundup: Hannover 96, Falkensteiner Agree To Deal Until June '21

Bundesliga side Hannover 96 partnered with hotel company Falkensteiner until June '21. The company will be the exclusive hotel partner of the club from '17-18, "as well as of the team's youth academy." Falkensteiner will have a brand presence across Hannover's digital channels, the HDI Arena and in youth marketing campaigns (SOCCEREX, 1/15).

Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar appointed sports marketing agency Two Circles to help drive commercial growth through improved fan insight. The firm will help AZ increase understanding around its fanbase and use insight around fan data to enable the club to be more personalized in all forms of digital communications (Two Circles).

South African Rugby confirmed on Monday that it received notification from Steinhoff Int'l that the retail company "was withdrawing from all sponsorship activities." It means the Springbok men's and women's as well as SA Rugby Sevens Academy teams will no longer carry the company's logo (IOL, 1/15).

Swiss Super League side Zurich awarded its exclusive marketing rights to InfrontRingier, a joint venture between sports marketing agency Infront and Swiss media company Ringier, in a six-year deal starting from the '18-19 season. The agency will also market the commercial media and sponsorship rights of the club and its junior teams (SOCCEREX, 1/15).

EPL side Huddersfield Town agreed to a commercial partnership with coconut water brand Coco Fuzion 100 (Huddersfield Town).

Ligue 1 side Girondins de Bordeaux announced a sponsorship deal with cleaning products producer Dr. Beckmann. The company becomes an official provider for the club and will benefit from ad space at the Matmut Atlantique Stadium. Bordeaux also partnered with French sporting goods retailer Intersport. Intersport's logo will be featured on the team's jersey. The deal is Intersport's 10th sponsorship with a Ligue 1 club (Girondins de Bordeaux).
