Overwatch League Team Seoul Dynasty Announces Nighthawk As Jersey Sponsor

KSV eSports announced networking hardware brand NETGEAR will sponsor its Overwatch League team, Seoul Dynasty, according to Graham Ashton of THE ESPORTS OBSERVER. Specifically, NETGEAR’S gaming brand, Nighthawk, will be featured on the team’s jerseys. There will also be "branding within the team house as well as content created around the sponsorship." KSV eSports co-Founder & CEO Kevin Chou described the partnership as a "premium deal." NETGEAR signed "multiple partnership deals within esports." The Nighthawk brand is also listed as a partner of Swedish organization Ninjas in Pyjamas, while NETGEAR’s routers were installed last year within PENTA Sports’ #ELZ center in Berlin (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 1/9).

'LUCRATIVE DEAL': THE ESPORTS OBSERVER's Angelos Anastasopoulos reported CS:GO team Heroic signed a strategic partnership with Danish energy drink company CULT. A RFRSH Entertainment spokesperson said, "We cannot comment on the numbers specifically, but it is a lucrative deal for both parties with a further upside as the co-op on the product side is rolled out." CULT's logo will be featured on Heroic's jersey, while the partnership "also includes cooperation on the product side, expected to be announced in the near future" (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 1/10).

LONG-TERM DEAL: Anastasopoulos also reported esports organization G2 Esports partnered with electronics company AOC. AOC will "equip all of G2's teams with gaming monitors." Details about the deal were not publicized but it was characterized as a "long-term partnership." This is the third technology-related partnership G2 Esports has signed within the last three months. In November, Logitech G became the organization’s peripherals provider (the two parties also partnered with Fernando Alonso to create a new sim racing team). In December, G2 partnered with graphics cards manufacturer NVIDIA (THE ESPORTS OBSERVER, 1/10).
