Woking Confirms Discussions With New Investor Are In 'Final Stages'

National League side Woking's board of directors confirmed discussions with a new financial investor are in their "final stages" and "thanked their fans for their patience in recent months," according to Kaylee Seckington of GET SURREY. The club revealed during the summer that it had identified a potential new investor but there has been "little in the way of an update since." However, Woking released a statement confirming that talks are "still on track and should be completed soon." It believes the financial investment the new backer will bring will make the club "financially sustainable" (GET SURREY, 1/9).
