Two former football players lost an appeal against a civil ruling that "they raped a woman and she was entitled to" £100,000 ($133,600) in damages. Former Scotland int'l DAVID GOODWILLIE and former Scottish Championship side Dundee United footballer DAVID ROBERTSON brought a legal challenge against the finding in favor of DENISE CLAIR but it was "unanimously rejected by three appeal judges" on Tuesday (SCOTSMAN, 11/28). ... Real Madrid’s MARCELO on Tuesday “admitted defrauding the Spanish tax authorities of nearly half a million euros,” according to a judicial source. He admitted to tax fraud after being accused of using front companies to hide €490,917 he earned from image rights in the ‘13 financial year (AFP, 11/28). ... CRISTIANO RONALDO "finally has a bust that actually resembles him." A sculpture of Ronaldo's face unveiled earlier this year "became the butt of jokes on the internet for looking nothing like the Portuguese forward." The original bust depicts Ronaldo "with an awkward grin and unevenly plump cheeks." Fans were "far more receptive of the new bust," which was unveiled at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid over the weekend (STUFF, 11/28).
