Media Notes: World Sailing Appoints Sunset+Vine For Aarhus 2018

World Sailing appointed Sunset+Vine as host broadcast and distribution partner for the 2018 Sailing World Championships. Sunset+Vine will produce and distribute eight days of live internet coverage of the qualification series plus four days of live TV coverage of each of the 10 medal races. The company will also produce and internationally distribute four medal race day highlights programs to TV and digital broadcasters (World Sailing). 

Megogo's VOD service launched live broadcasts of three top European football leagues. The OTT operation said that it has become the "only broadcaster in Ukraine, including TV channels, to secure the rights," which are for the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A. Megogo will show 10 matches from each round of the Bundesliga and five from Ligue 1 (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 11/28).

BeIN Media Group and the Saran Media agency reportedly agreed to rights deals in Turkey for the Champions League and Europa League. Turkish newspaper Hürriyet reported beIN will pick up rights to three seasons of the Champions League from '18-19 to '20-21. Saran will secure the Europa League rights for same three-season cycle, while beIN will also show games from the second-tier European football competition (SOCCEREX, 11/27).

Spanish broadcaster TVE will air the Club World Cup "for one more year." This year's tournament will take place in the UAE, where Real Madrid will "look to defend the title it won last year in Japan" (AS, 11/28).
