Marketplace Roundup: World Rugby Signs Tudor To Seven-Year Partnership

World Rugby and Tudor launched a long-term partnership that will see the watch brand support World Rugby competitions and events. The seven-year deal sees Tudor become the official timekeeper of Rugby World Cup 2019 and 2023, Women's Rugby World Cup 2021, Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018 and 2022 and the annual World Rugby U20 Championship. The partnership also covers presenting partner status for the World Rugby Hall of Fame and the World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year Award at the World Rugby Awards in Monaco in '17 and '18 (World Rugby).

Adidas is "bringing its city runs series of running events back to London in March," with the Fulham 10K set to be the opening race. The sports brand is staging the events in partnership with CSM Sport & Entertainment, with both having previously hosted the City Run Shoreditch 10K in October (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 11/27). 

League One side Blackburn Rovers announced Darwen-based FUN Motor Group as the club's website sponsor. It follows the announcement of The Energy Check as Rovers' social media and back-of-shirt sponsor last month. Rovers Ladies announced Levitate Recruitment as its first ever front-of-shirt sponsor (LANCASHIRE TELEGRAPH, 11/27).

The Glasgow 2018 European Championships named Scottish firm Aggreko its official sponsor and power supplier. Aggreko will "provide generators for a range of sporting events, including open water swimming at Loch Lomond and mountain biking at Cathkin Braes" (BBC, 11/27).

The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) announced a five-year partnership with Lima-based bank BBVA Continental. The bank will support the FPF's youth divisions (PERÚ21, 11/24).

Indian Super League side Pune City renewed its partnership with Suzuki Motorcylce India Private Ltd. SMIPL will continue as the official sponsor of the team "for a fourth season." The brand's logo will be featured "on the front of the club's shirts and training kits" (SOCCEREX, 11/27).

Premiership Rugby side Leicester Tigers announced a partnership with cleaning specialist OfficeCare. The company joins the club as an official partner and will provide cleaning services across Welford Road Stadium and the Oval Park training ground (Leicester Tigers). 

Big Bash League side Sydney Sixers announced Toyo Tires as a major sponsor for the '17-18 season. The brand's logo will be featured on players' shirts and pants. The tire maker's "All Or Nothing" campaign is set to start in '18, and is supported by Toyo's BBL "Bash for Cash." The Bash for Cash will give the Sixers and fans the chance to win A$100,000 ($76,080) at Sydney Cricket Ground home games (Toyo Tires). 

The Council of Southern African FA's (COSAFA) signed Mopani Copper Mines as the title sponsor of the 2017 COSAFA U20 Championships to be played in Zambia from Dec. 6-16. Mopani Copper Mines has been a supporter of Zambian football by sponsoring Zambia Super Division League clubs Nkana and Mufulira Wanderers (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 11/27).

I-League side East Bengal penned a deal with Italian sportswear brand PERF as its kit sponsor. The club unveiled three jerseys in the presence of club and PERF officials (East Bengal).

Formula 1 team Renault announced a three-year partnership with sportswear brand le coq sportif. The brand will be an official supplier for the team and provide all team members with sportswear. Le coq sportif's logo will also be featured on the F1 car next season (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 11/27).
