The Spanish Football Federation's (RFEF) board of directors accepted Catalan Football Federation (FCF) President ANDREU SUBIES' resignation from the board. He said that "he does not agree with the direction of the RFEF" since JUAN LUIS LARREA replaced President ÁNGEL MARÍA VILLAR (EL PERIÓDICO, 10/26). ... Pro14 side Dragons named three new board members to complete its governance structure. Software company Brandwatch CFO DAVID REYNOLDS, construction company Persimmon Homes Dir IAN JEFFERY and Welsh Rugby Union Group Finance Dir STEVE PHILLIPS completed the new board setup (RUNNING RUGBY, 10/23). ... Sierra Leone FA President ISHA JOHANSEN has been "set aside from her position" while she is investigated by the country's Anti-Corruption Commission. The ruling taken by the SLFA exec committee also extends to the body's secretary general, CHRISTOPHER KAMARA (BBC, 10/25). ... Australian Football League side Essendon GM ROB KERR made the decision to leave the club next month. Kerr decided to take a break from football to pursue family business interests (Essendon). 

COACHES/MANAGERS: Spanish Basketball League (ACB) side Baskonia coach PABLO PRIGIONI resigned following's his team's 80-63 loss to Valencia on Wednesday. He said, "I am not going to remain the coach of the team. I feel frustrated by not meeting expectations" (SUPERDEPORTE, 10/25). ... Sussex County Cricket Club "parted company" with head coach MARK DAVIS by mutual consent following an internal club review of the season. South Africa-born Davis joined Sussex as a player in '01 and moved to the coaching staff after retiring in '05 (BBC, 10/25). ... Scottish Premiership side Rangers sacked manager PEDRO CAIXINHA after "seven months in charge." Coach GRAEME MURTY "takes over on an interim basis." Assistant Manager HÉLDER BAPTISTA and coaches PEDRO MALTA and JOSÉ BELMAN also left the Ibrox club (BBC, 10/26). ... PATSY MCGONAGLE confirmed he is stepping down as manager of the Irish Athletics team, completing a 25-year stint which first began at the World Junior Championships in Seoul, South Korea, in '92 (IRISH TIMES, 10/26).

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
