La Liga Side Real Betis To Present '17-18 Budget Of $103M, Which Could Rise To $117M

La Liga side Real Betis will present a budget for the '17-18 season of €87.7M ($102.5M) at its annual general shareholders' meeting on Nov. 23, according to Miguel Á. Morán of MARCA. The budget "has the potential to rise" to €100M ($117M). The club's income "has never been higher," with most of the funds coming from the sale of TV rights, of which the club is "initially owed" €48.5M ($56.7M). The exact amount "is set to be clarified at the end of the current season" once the final La Liga standings are taken into account. For '16-17, Real Betis earned €4M through ticket sales, while season ticket revenue stands at a figure closer to €9M. The club also brought in €7.5M from advertising and marketing contracts "and it is likely this figure will increase" once negotiations to finalize a new shirt sponsor are completed (MARCA, 10/25).
