Media Notes: Spanish Sports Publication Announces Launch Of AS Arabia

On Monday, Spanish sports publication AS announced the launch of the AS Arabia edition, which will be published in 25 countries from Mauritania to Iraq. AS Arabia will be the first Spanish media outlet published in Arabic (EL PAÍS, 9/26).

The PGA Tour announced it renewed its agreement with Twitter to be the exclusive global platform to distribute more than 70 hours of live competition from PGA Tour Live across 31 tournaments during the '17-18 season. Coverage will include the first 60-90 minutes from the early Thursday and Friday morning hours of PGA Tour Live's OTT subscription window. For '18, Twitter will distribute live 360-degree video coverage for select holes at top-tier events (PGA Tour). 

BeIN Sports announced it secured the broadcast rights to the League Championship, League One, League Two and the EFL Cup for the next five years. The channel will show live games weekly throughout the season, in addition to coverage of every playoff match and a weekly highlights show (beIN Sports). 

German channel Sport1 is "now also available" in HD on internet TV platform waipu.tv. The carriage deal was closed between Sport1 and Exaring, an operating company of waipu.tv. Sport1 HD forms part of subscription package Perfect (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 9/26).
