Facility Notes: Allied Esports Opens Second Arena In China

Allied Esports opened its second dedicated esports arena in China, the Allied Esports SEG Arena, in Shenzhen. The new arena was built in partnership with e-commerce company Shenzhen SEG, which will provide strategic support for Allied Esports' Chinese properties across its network of e-commerce assets. At nearly 22,000 square feet, the arena features a multi-use production studio, 168 top-tier gaming stations and an interactive VR experience (Allied Esports).

Durham County Cricket Club is reviewing its safety procedures after the partial collapse of a temporary seating stand during the Twenty20 int'l between England and the West Indies at The Riverside Ground on Saturday. One spectator "remains in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries" after falling 20 feet "through a hole in the floor." Durham reiterated its stance that "all relevant safety procedures had been followed" (London TELEGRAPH, 9/17).
