The Chinese Basketball Association signed an extension with oil and gas corporation ExxonMobil, according to a Tencent report. Although financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, it is "believed to be valued" at 20M yuan ($3.1M). Mobil will continue as an official partner of the league for the '17-18 season, which is set to begin on Oct. 21 (YUTANG SPORTS, 9/6).
Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion announced sports fashion retailer JD will be the club's sleeve sponsor for the '17-18 season. The JD logo will be featured on the left arm of Albion's home, alternate and third shirts, and will be worn for the first time this weekend (Brighton & Hove Albion).
Brasileiro side Fluminense agreed to a three-year extension of its sleeve sponsorship deal with non-profit organization Fundação SOS Mata Atlântica. The deal will see the organization's logo "continue to adorn the right sleeve" on all of the club's first team shirts. The foundation will also become a sponsor of Fluminense's volleyball team (SOCCEREX, 9/7).
Juventus announced a partnership with candy company M&M's. The M&M's characters will be present at Allianz Stadium on matchdays, and there will be other opportunities for collaboration over the course of the season (Juventus).
McLaren Formula 1 team announced a long-term partnership with sponsorship analytics platform Hookit. The company will measure, value and help optimize the ROI the team drives for its sponsors across social and digital media. McLaren will also have access to real-time analytics and insights for comparative benchmarking (McLaren).
Retailer Fanatics has taken over management of the England Rugby Store at Twickenham. The firm is "continuing to use the existing main store fit-out" but the plan is to "refurbish it early next year." Fanatics is "planning to have installed several match day units around Twickenham including a brand new store in the West Fan Village" (RUNNING RUGBY, 9/4).
The Harlem Globetrotters announced a partnership with sports & entertainment agency Mongoose to help secure European partners. The Globetrotters' European tour begins in March, and the team will visit London, Paris, Madrid and Munich (Harlem Globetrotters).
The 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games announced weightlifting equipment company Eleiko as its official equipment supplier. The company also signed a sponsorship agreement with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corp. Eleiko will supply the full range of equipment for the weightlifting and para powerlifting competition as well as provide logistics support (GC2018).
