Media Notes: Mexican Baseball League Signs Deal With TV Azteca

The Mexican Baseball League (LMB) will "return to free-TV after two decades" following the signing of a deal with TV Azteca, which will air this season's Serie del Rey (championship series) live on channel 7.2. The LMB also announced TV Azteca will carry three games a week in '18 as well as the All-Star Game, the playoffs and the Serie del Rey (LA AFICIÓN, 8/30).

Dsport, the sports TV channel launched by Discovery Communications India, acquired the exclusive broadcast rights to the upcoming Int'l Cricket Council World XI tour of Pakistan. The ICC World XI will play three day-night Twenty20 matches with Pakistan at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Sept. 12, 13 and 15 (ECONOMIC TIMES, 8/31).
