Former League Championship side Bolton Wanderers striker DEAN HOLDSWORTH resigned as the club's director. The 48-year-old's resignation comes nine days after his company Sports Shield was liquidated. Sports Shield, along with Bolton Chair KEN ANDERSON's Inner Circle Investments, took over the team in March '16 (BBC, 8/30). ... England national cricket team coach OTTIS GIBSON is leaving his position and will replace RUSSELL DOMINGO as South Africa's coach. The former West Indies player starts his new role after the conclusion of the Test series against West Indies in September (BBC, 8/30). ... Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot coach CORINNE DIACRE left her position to replace OLIVIER ECHOUAFNI as coach of the France national women's team. The former France int'l with more than 100 caps spent three years in charge of Clermont (SKY SPORTS, 8/30).
