Standard Chartered Launches Digital Campaign To Commemorate Liverpool's 125 Anniversary

To commemorate Liverpool's 125th anniversary, principle club sponsor Standard Chartered introduced a digital campaign "highlighting a series of significant numbers in the club's history," according to Taruka Srivastav of THE DRUM. "The Power of Numbers," conceptualized by Octagon's Asia-Pacific team and produced by Milkmoney, includes "short films and digital content." The series features Manager Jürgen Klopp, current and former players and global fans "all enunciating which numbers are important to them." Octagon Managing Dir Southeast Asia/Japan Aykan Azar said, "A keen understanding of -- and appreciation for -- the power of numbers is crucial for both football clubs and banks, so the concept was one we instantly knew would resonate with fans and customers alike" (THE DRUM, 8/30). Liverpool has more than 500 million fans worldwide. Kicking off with "Number 8: The Captains," the first film delves into the role of captaincy as Standard Chartered speaks to past and present captains Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson (Octagon).
