Media rights agency MP & Silva brought on sports industry veteran CHRIS LENCHESKI to head global sponsorship sales. Lencheski has been a senior adviser to MP & Silva's management and board of directors since '15. He will be based in N.Y. (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/28 issue). ... The supervisory board of German media company Constantin Median revoked the appointment of CEO FRED KOGEL "with immediate effect and suspended him from all duties." OLAF SCHRÖDER, a management board member responsible for the sports segment, was appointed the company's new CEO. The move follows the decision by Kogel to step down from his CEO position effective Sept. 22 and "the resignation of the whole supervisory board" headed by DIETER HAHN (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 8/25).

COACHES/MANAGERS: CRAIG LEVEIN "stepped back into the dugout for the first time in five years" after he was named Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian's new head coach until the end of the season. It "brings to an end one month of searching" for IAN CATHRO's successor following the former Newcastle and Valencia coach's sacking at the beginning of August (Scotland DAILY RECORD, 8/28). ... Ireland national women's rugby team coach TOM TIERNEY stepped down following the side's "disappointing World Cup performance." Saturday's 27-17 loss to Wales in Belfast in the seventh place playoff "means the Irish will have to qualify" for the '21 tournament (BBC, 8/26). ... Egyptian football club Zamalek announced Montenegrin NEBOJŠA JOVOVIĆ "signed a two-year deal as coach." He replaced Portuguese AUGUSTO INÁCIO, who left the club in July after "less than four months in charge" (BBC, 8/28). ... Liga MX side León named RUBÉN AYALA its interim coach. He replaces JAVIER TORRENTE, who was sacked following a 2-1 loss to Santos Laguna on Saturday (NOTIMEX, 8/27).
