Premier League side Bournemouth's three Russian directors all resigned on the same day last week. The trio who stepped down form the board on Thursday are business associates of Bournemouth Owner MAXIM DEMIN. Two of the Russians are brothers OLEG and IGOR TIKHTUROV. The third Russian is MIKHAIL PONOMAREV (LONDON TIMES, 8/26). ... The Vietnam Football Federation appointed MAI DUC CHUNG as head coach of the national football team. Chung replaced NGUYEN HUU THANG, who announced his resignation after the U22 team lost in the Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia (VIETNAM NEWS, 8/27). ... National Basketball League side Wellington Saints assistant ZICO CORONEL was confirmed as the new head coach of the Hawkes Bay Hawks. Coronel recently helped the Saints win a record 10th NBL championship "on the back of an unbeaten season" (STUFF, 8/27).
