Marketplace Roundup: Messi Joins Sunglasses Brand Hawkers To Launch Collection

Lionel Messi partnered with sunglasses brand Hawkers to launch his own collection, which is composed of nine models (Hawkers).

Premier League side Leicester City announced a two-year partnership with online gaming site Dafabet. The company will receive branding across LED boards and interview backdrops at the King Power Stadium (Leicester City). 

Premier League side Southampton announced Utilita as its official energy and utilities partner for two years (Southampton). 

Brasileiro side Botafogo announced a partnership with int'l transportation network company Cabify. The mobile app’s logo will be featured on the front of the club’s first team playing shirts, above main sponsor Caixa. The length and financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed (SOCCEREX, 8/11).

Premiership side Gloucester Rugby extended its relationship with transport specialist CM Downton. Downton's name will continue to be featured on the club's matchday shirts and shorts. The company's branding will also appear on pitchside advertising and on the club's website (GLOUCESTERSHIRE LIVE, 8/10).

Australian Football League side Richmond Tigers announced a three-year partnership with Australian private health insurer nib health funds. Nib joined the Tigers as a joint-major partner and its logo will be featured on the club's home and away jersey, as well as on all official Richmond apparel from '18 (Richmond Tigers). 

A-League side Newcastle Jets announced Falken Tyres as its official tire partner for the '17-18 season. Falken branding will be featured on the front of the club's training strips. The brand will also be present on home matchdays at the McDonald Jones Stadium (Newcastle Jets). 

South African top-flight football side Cape Town City signed a four-year deal with betting firm SportPesa as its official shirt sponsor for the '17-18 season (CAPITAL FM, 8/11).
