Football Notes: John Terry, Chelsea Face No Action From FA Over Last Substitution

John Terry and Chelsea will "face no further action" from the FA "regarding the former club captain's substitution in his final game at Stamford Bridge." The 36-year-old arranged to leave the field against Sunderland in the 26th minute -- "matching his shirt number." Thousands of pounds were "won in bets predicting the timing of the change," prompting the FA's Integrity Department to investigate. It decided there is "no case to answer" (BBC, 7/31).

I-League clubs will be allowed to register six foreign players in the upcoming season, "two more than earlier years." Out of the six, "at least two players will have to be from an AFC member association." The clubs can "field a maximum of five foreign players in a match out of which a minimum of one has to be from an AFC member association" (PTI, 8/1).
