Media Notes: Sky Deutschland Opens New Sports Broadcast, Production Center

German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland officially opened its new sports broadcast and production centre, Sky Sport HQ, on Thursday. In the building located next to Sky Deutschland’s corporate office in Unterföhring, the broadcaster "will produce its complete range" of sports programs (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 7/27).

Malaysia’s Sportsfix added Indonesian Liga 1, Thai League and K League matches to its regional OTT video platform. Preseason friendlies with Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A teams will also be available for streaming across the ASEAN (RAPID TV NEWS, 7/28).

The French Football Federation announced it renewed its partnership with France Télévisions and Eurosport for the Coupe de France broadcasts through the ’21-22 season. The rights also include the women’s competition. Eurosport will retains rights to certain Coupe de France matches to be broadcast internationally (FFF).

Slovak DTT platform Plustelka will add Sport 1 to its lineup on Tuesday. It will complement Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 and Sport 2. Sport 1 will be placed in the Plustelka Standard package, which costs €2.99 ($3.50) a month on a pre-paid basis for one year (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 7/28).
