Marketplace Roundup: AFL Side Carlton Extends Deal With Hyundai

Australian Football League side Carlton announced a five-year extension to its deal with co-major partner Hyundai Motor Company Australia. The extension through '22 takes the partnership with HMCA to 21 years (Carlton).

League Championship side Bolton Wanderers announced a partnership with Phantom Motor Company. The car firm will sponsor Macron Stadium's Platinum Suite for the '17-18 season. Phantom Motor Company's branding will be featured within the stadium and on various digital and static advertising (Bolton Wanderers).

New dugouts installed at Czech First League side Viktoria Plzen's stadium will be "shaped like enormous cans of beer." The custom-made 14-seat shelters are a result of the club's new commercial partnership with brewery Gambrinus, with each bench "styled to look like a can" of its premium pilsner (ESPN.com, 7/27).


The Sports Consultancy Legal launched Thursday as a part of London-based agency The Sports Consultancy. The launch of a standalone, regulated legal practice provides the opportunity for the business to offer a wider range of legal support to the agency's collection of clients. The new legal practice will be headed by The Sports Consultancy general counsel Ashley Blake (The Sports Consultancy).

La Liga and electronics manufacturer Konka Group reached a two-year sponsorship agreement (La Liga).

The French Professional Football League (LFP) announced watch brand Tag Heuer as its new official watch sponsor for Ligue 1, the Coupe de la Ligue and the Trophy of Champions. The one-year deal was activated with the Trophy of Champions match on Saturday between Monaco and Paris St. Germain, which PSG won 2-1. The deal is reportedly worth €350,000 ($411,325) (LE PARISIEN, 7/25).
