England Cricket Joining The Oval's Campaign To Reduce Plastic Use

The England Cricket team will "join up with" The Oval and Sky Ocean Rescue for its upcoming Test Match against South Africa to "try and reduce the amount of single-use plastic that is used," according to George Elek of the London EVENING STANDARD. It marks the 100th Test to be staged at the stadium and "a significant step" in The Oval's "aspiration to becoming a plastic free venue." There will be 20,000 refillable water bottles handed out to fans who will be able to fill them at the 20 free water points installed around the grounds. On air, the "newly-launched" Sky Sports Cricket channel will show reports that "highlight the damaging impact that plastic is having on our oceans" (EVENING STANDARD, 7/26).
