Media Notes: Argentine Basketball League Streams Game On Twitter

Argentina's National Basketball League (LNB) broadcast the second leg of the final between San Lorenzo and Regatas Corrientes on Twitter. It marked the first time an Argentine sporting event aired on the social network (CLARÍN, 7/6).

Former hurler Michael Duignan "lambasted" the Gaelic Athletic Association's broadcasting deal with Sky. Duignan said, "To me, the biggest disgrace of the weekend was on Saturday evening, that that Waterford-Kilkenny wasn't shown on free-to-air television in this country [Ireland]. The Sky deal is so wrong on so many levels and it's not because I'm in RTÉ working for the Sunday Game" (IRISH INDEPENDENT, 7/9).

WWE and broadcasting company Groupe AB will extend their partnership into its 18th year with a new multi-year agreement to broadcast WWE programming, including flagship shows Raw and SmackDown, in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco and Andorra.
