Premier League Side Tottenham Signs Multi-Year Kit Deal With Nike

EPL side Tottenham signed a multi-year deal with Nike, making the brand its official kit supplier from next season, according to Ken Ferris of REUTERS. Tottenham Chair Daniel Levy said, "Nike is committed to partnering with us both at home, at a time when our new stadium scheme is the catalyst for the regeneration of Tottenham, and globally, with our growing fan base mirrored by Nike's worldwide reach" (REUTERS, 7/1). In London, Tom Dutton reported the deal with Nike "will coincide with the club's move to a new 61,559-seat stadium" on the site of its former White Hart Lane home. The deal is thought to be worth £25M ($32.9M) a year and will cover the men's, women's and academy squads. Tottenham's coaching staff and Tottenham Hotspur Foundation representatives "will also be kitted out in Nike gear." Tottenham is the second London club to team up with Nike after Chelsea "cut short a deal" with adidas to sign a "mammoth" £60M ($79M)-a-year deal which will also be in place from the '17-18 campaign (EVENING STANDARD, 6/30).
