Marketplace Roundup: Bundesliga Side Hertha BSC Announces TEDi As Sleeve Sponsor

Bundesliga side Hertha BSC named TEDi its sleeve sponsor for the next four years. The deal is the retailer's biggest involvement in football marketing. TEDi will become a partner of the Hertha BSC academy and the Kids Club. It will also get naming rights for a section of the stadium and the TEDi logo will appear on the chest of Hertha's mascot, Hertinho (Hertha BSC). 

Serbian football side Red Star Belgrade signed Italian sports brand Macron to a five-year apparel agreement. The brand will equip the club with its matchday kits, training wear and off-pitch accessories. Macron will also provide Red Star's backroom staff with training apparel. Macron replaces Puma. The financial terms were not released (SOCCEREX, 6/28).

League Two side Cambridge United extended its training kit deal with Inc. The new deal will see the London-based marketing and communications consultancy's name on the training kit of the first team and youth team at Cambridge United's regional development centers (CAMBRIDGE NEWS, 6/27).

The organization behind the Sailing World Championships signed an agreement with global coatings company Hempel to be the title sponsor of next year's championships in Aarhus, Denmark. The "Hempel Sailing World Championships Aarhus Denmark 2018" is expected to draw more than 1,500 sailors from 100 nations and over 400,000 visitors (World Sailing).
