Eurosport's 24 Hours Of Le Mans Coverage Drives Audience Growth Across Europe

Eurosport announced a 34% increase in the year-on-year average of 24 Hours of Le Mans viewers compared with '16, with 585,000 fans tuning in. Only once in the last decade ('13) have the average viewer numbers been exceeded, while a peak audience number of 1.8 million saw the Porsche LMP Team of Timo Bernard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber win the race. The '17 Le Mans race reached 14.5 million viewers in total, an increase of 10% versus '16. There was also year-on-year growth in Germany (+57%), Poland (+181%), Romania (+40%) and Sweden (+127%), with Germany registering its best 24 Hours of Le Mans in 10 years. There was a 48% increase in average audience numbers in Australia versus '16. This year's race was the best program overall on Eurosport in that territory in two years (Eurosport). 

DFB Cup: The '16-17 German FA (DFB) Cup season saw Infront Sports & Media secure over 30 media rights agreements in more than 200 countries and territories. The cumulative live audience for the season in Germany -- on free-to-air and pay-TV -- was 83.7 million (Infront).
