Olympic Notes: IOC, Panasonic Announce Youth Program Partnership

The IOC and Panasonic announced a new partnership for the Young Change-Makers+ program. Panasonic becomes the first Worldwide TOP partner to provide additional support to the YCM+ program (IOC).

Paris 2024 announced global energy company Engie as its latest partner. Engie is the 20th company to join the campaign and the 16th official partner. Engie has been working with Paris 2024 for several months (Paris 2024).

Paraguay state-run news agency IP on Wednesday joined a content sharing platform to be run by Yonhap for the 2018 PyeongChang Games. The total number of overseas news agencies confirmed as subscribers to the PyeongChang News Service Network is now 44 (Yonhap).

Ban Ki-moon has been proposed as the new chair of the IOC's ethics commission by the organization's exec board. The 73-year-old former UN secretary general "will learn if he is to succeed Youssoupha Ndiaye, who is standing down," when the full membership votes at an IOC session in Lima, Peru, in September (RTÉ, 6/14).
