Champions League Final Draws 3.8 Million To Canal's C8 In France

Canal+ channel C8 broadcast the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Juventus in France and drew an average of 3.8 million viewers, according to L’ÉQUIPE. The number translated to a 17.4% market share and the third-highest audience for the night. Real Madrid won the match 4-1. Last year, C8 set an audience record with its Champions League final broadcast with 4.2 million viewers (21% market share). The final was also shown on pay-TV channel beIN Sports (L’ÉQUIPE, 6/4). SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS reported France 2 broadcast the Women’s Champions League final between Olympique Lyonnais and Paris St. Germain. The match, which OL won in a shootout, was watched by an average audience of 2.7 million viewers, translating to a 13% market share. During the shootout, the channel recorded a peak audience of 3.5 million viewers (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 6/2).
