Media Notes: Eurosport Celebrates Ratings Success For Giro D'Italia

Eurosport reported record-breaking viewing figures for the 100th Giro d'Italia for peak and average audiences. The final stage time-trial was watched by a peak audience of over 4.8 million -- the highest ever for a single Giro stage on the network. The 24-day Grand Tour also registered its highest average viewing audience with 1.3 million tuning in to live coverage on average across the 21 stages (Eurosport). 

Eurosport signed former U.S. int'l Hope Solo as the commissioner of women's football. Solo is set to link up with Eurosport for the Women's Euro 2017 coverage this July (Eurosport). 

ESPNcricinfo will provide in-play video highlights as part of its coverage of the Int'l Cricket Council Champions Trophy, which starts June 1. On ESPNcricinfo's site and app, fans will get video, news, information, features and analysis from journalists, experts and former players throughout the tournament (ESPNcricinfo). 

France TV announced it will broadcast the ATP Paris Masters 1000 final in ’17 and ’18. The ’17 event will take place from Oct. 30-Nov. 5. The public broadcaster also purchased the rights to the London Masters final, to take place from Nov. 12-19 (L’ÉQUIPE, 5/30).
