Two Hawke's Bay Rugby Football Union members "resigned less than a week after the resignations of fellow board members" SIMON TREMAIN and TAINE RANDELL. KEVIN ATKINSON and DAN DRUZIANIC announced their decision to step down and said that a "governance overhaul" was the only way forward for the union. Atkinson said that the four resigning board members "attempted to make changes for a number of years but their patience had been stretched to the point there was no other option but step down" (HAWKES BAY TODAY, 5/8).
