Serie A side AS Roma confirmed former player FRANCESCO TOTTI will retire at the end of the season. The 40-year-old, who has made more than 600 appearances for Roma since his debut in '93, has made "only one start in Serie A this season." MARIA SHARAPOVA is "waiting to hear if she can play at the French Open later this month" but men's world No. 1 ANDY MURRAY "expects her to be at Wimbledon in July." Sharapova returned in April from a 15-month doping ban to reach the semifinals at the Stuttgart Open, but "did not earn enough points to qualify for Roland Garros and is reliant on a wildcard for the qualifying tournament."
