La Liga Side Deportivo La Coruña Makes $6M Payment To Spanish Tax Authorities

La Liga side Deportivo La Coruña "continues to reduce its privileged debt" to Spain's tax authorities, according to Luis de la Cruz of AS. The club on Wednesday made a payment of €5.47M ($5.96M). The team's agreement with the tax authorities "requires it to pay 25% of its extraordinary revenue." The club has reduced its privileged debt from €65M to around €30M ($32.7M), "although these figures could be altered after an unfavorable court ruling regarding a sum of €21.8M ($23.8M) that was until now considered subordinate debt" (AS, 5/3).
