La Liga President Says 'Practically No Teams' In Top Flight Losing Money

La Liga President Javier Tebas said on Tuesday that "there are practically no La Liga teams that are losing money," according to AS. He added that this year, "Valencia will be the last to have been sanctioned by the EU." Tebas called Spain's top flight "very viable," and pointed out the example of Eibar, which he said makes €10M ($10.9M) per season. He said that one of his objectives is to increase the revenue of the second division. Tebas: "Three years ago, an average team in the second division had a budget of €3 million and today an average team will be close to €7 million ($7.64M) or €8 million ($8.7M)" (AS, 5/2).
