Football Notes: La Liga Side Osasuna To Wear Orange Shirt At Barcelona

La Liga side Osasuna will wear a new shirt during Wednesday's game at Barcelona. Osasuna's shirt will be orange "and was designed to meet the demands of the broadcaster, as the club's primary and alternative uniforms are too similar to Barcelona's home uniform" (SPORT, 4/24).

Argentine first division side Newell's Old Boys players "practiced in clothing that was not team-issued on Monday, as a protest against the situation the club faces." For the team's most recent road game, "the players traveled by plane, while the coaching staff took a bus" to save money. Forward Nacho Scocco said, "It is not acceptable to not be paid and this is why we took this position. But we showed, when it was time to play, that we put this aside" (OLÉ, 4/24).
