Chihuahua Governor Announces Football Stadium Will Be Built In Ciudad Juárez

Chihuahua, Mexico Governor Javier Corral announced that Ciudad Juárez "will have a new stadium which will be built this year," according to LA AFICIÓN. Corral "did not rule out that the stadium could be the home of Ascenso MX side FC Juarez." Corral: "For Juárez, what we are thinking about is a new football stadium. We want to begin work this year on the new stadium, which will give Ciudad Juárez high-level sports infrastructure." He added that he hoped that with this building, "the football teams will have better facilities, a better home." Corral said that he spoke with Liga MX side Santos Laguna Owner Alejandro Irarragori about the "project Santos Laguna recently carried out" (LA AFICIÓN, 4/17).
