Panama int'l footballer AMILCAR HENRIQUEZ was "shot and killed outside his home in the country's Colon province." Authorities said that the 33-year-old midfielder was "leaving his home when a gunman shot him several times." Another two people "were wounded in the incident and are now in hospital" (London INDEPENDENT, 4/15). ... McLaren-Honda Formula 1 announced that its drivers for the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix will be STOFFEL VANDOORNE and JENSON BUTTON. Owing to FERNADO ALONSO's commitments with McLaren-Honda-Andretti at the Indianapolis 500, Jenson will take over Fernando's McLaren-Honda MCL32 for one race only (McLaren-Honda).

TERRY TO LEAVE: Chelsea announced club captain JOHN TERRY will "leave the club" at the end of the season. Chelsea confirmed on Monday that Terry, 36, "will depart his boyhood club when the current campaign ends, bringing to a close his long spell at Stamford Bridge that has lasted 22 years." The defender has "played a bit-part role" for Manager ANTONIO CONTE's side. It "remains to be seen" where Terry will continue playing next season, although he "previously expressed a desire to move into coaching" (London EVENING STANDARD, 4/17).
