Event Notes: Adidas Japan, TBWA\Hakuhodo Create Green Light Run Tokyo

Adidas Japan and advertising agency TBWA\Hakuhodo created the Green Light Run Tokyo to "celebrate the opening of the Brand Core Store Harajuku, the brand's first store focused on city running." The run offered the opportunity to complete a full marathon through Tokyo, "with the pace being dictated by data from traffic signals." Tokyo has 15,772 traffic signals, "making it impossible to complete an uninterrupted urban run" (THE DRUM, 4/13).

Infront Sports & Media
signed a long-term agreement with the Italian Golf Federation for event management, marketing and digital rights. The agreement will cover 129 events, including 11 editions of the Italian Open, 88 events of the Italian Pro Tour and 30 events in the 2022 Road to Roma project (Infront).

The island of Jeju "will host South Korea's first PGA Tour event this fall." The Jeju provincial government said that it will "sign an agreement with the PGA Tour and CJ Group," the title sponsor of the tournament known as the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges, at a ceremony on Thursday. The Club at Nine Bridges on Jeju Island, owned and operated by CJ, will be the venue for the Oct. 19-22 competition (KOREA HERALD, 4/13).
