Media Notes: Pro A Side JDA Dijon Produces 360-Degree Video Of Halftime Speech

Pro A basketball side JDA Dijon produced a 360-degree video inside the locker room during halftime of its match against CSP Limoges. The club wanted to give fans the “totally immersed” experience of hearing the halftime speech from Manager Laurent Legname. Club partner AMT Transversales helped produced the video (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 4/10).

UCI World Tour race Paris-Roubaix was broadcast on France Télévisions on Sunday and drew an average audience of 1.71 million viewers, translating to a market share of 17%. The event drew around 100,000 more viewers than last year. With a peak audience of 2.5 million, the race was the most-viewed program of the day in France (L’ÉQUIPE, 4/10).

SuperSport announced the extension of its relationship with the Premier League. The current contract ends in May '19, and the renewal of the rights means SuperSport will be the broadcaster of the Premier League Live Package until May '22. The award of rights is for the territory of sub-Saharan Africa (SuperSport). 

The BBC will show the Women's Super League One across TV, radio and online when the Spring Series starts in April. The Women's Football Show on BBC Two will show highlights, while games will be shown live on the BBC Sport website. The Spring Series is a one-off transitional competition before the WSL's switch to a winter calendar for '17-18. BT Sport will broadcast live Spring Series matches on TV including the game between last season's champion Man City and runner-up Chelsea on May 25 (BBC). 

BeIN entered into a partnership with TMG to "fight online piracy." BeIN Commercial Affairs Exec Dir Mohammad Al Subaie said, "We have appointed TMG to monitor beIN streaming piracy on a global scale." TMG CTO Bastien Casalta said, "New pirate sites are launched on a regular basis, providing millions of users with illegal access to live sports, especially in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 4/10).

Eleven Sports announced a partnership with Samsung in Poland that will see the network's OTT application featured on all Samsung smart TVs with a Tizen operating system (Eleven).
