League Notes: NBA Launches NBA Basketball School In Mumbai

The NBA announced the launch of NBA Basketball School, a network of tuition-based basketball development programs around the world open to int'l male and female players ages 6-18. The first NBA Basketball School launched Friday in Mumbai, India, as part of a multiyear agreement with Indian sports management company India On Track (NBA).

Leading agents are "at war" with Professional Cricketers' Association CEO David Leatherdale "over the appointment of an external contracts negotiator." Leatherdale is "under fire" after hiring Rich Hudson from management firm Essentially to advise players in the final months of their contracts. A group of agents wrote to the PCA last week citing "concerns that Hudson's role was a conflict of interest while he was associated with Essentially" (London DAILY MAIL, 4/8).
