ManU Increasing Prices For Hospitality Packages Despite Champions League Doubts

ManU is increasing prices for corporate hospitality packages next season even though its Champions League prospects "remain in the balance," according to Joe Bernstein of the London DAILY MAIL. Having reduced prices a year ago during a "gloomy spell" under former Manager Louis van Gaal, the club is "confident enough that optimism has been restored" under Manager José Mourinho to raise annual subscriptions by an average of 6%. There are 25 different lounges at Old Trafford with prices ranging from £1,995 ($2,468) + VAT per person at the Academy sports bar to £137,500 ($170,128) for a Centennial Club suite. ManU also feels that businesses are in a "better position to afford price increases than regular season-ticket holders." Prices for regular match tickets "will be frozen for the sixth consecutive season" for '17-18 "with 50% price reductions available for young season-ticket holders, EFL Cup reductions and booking fees scrapped" (DAILY MAIL, 4/8).
