Franchise Notes: City Football Group Partners With Atlético Venezuela

Man City owner City Football Group announced it increased its presence in South American football. In addition to its investment in Uruguayan side El Torque, CFG entered into an agreement with Venezuelan first division side Atlético Venezuela. The partnership, which will see Atlético working with CFG's scouts and scouting methodology, was signed following a recent visit by senior execs from the Venezuelan club. The collaboration enables both parties to share scouting data and includes the provision of coaching support to Atlético during a number of agreed visits to Manchester (Man City).

Members of Scottish League Two side Annan Athletic voted in favor of "plans to transfer the club to full community ownership." The club said that 74% of its members supported the move to become a Community Benefit Society, following consultation. Annan said that the new structure would "safeguard the club and protect its assets" (BBC, 4/6).

League Championship side Bristol City's players are to "reimburse away fans" who traveled to Tuesday's 5-0 defeat by Preston North End. The loss, the club's "heaviest in a competitive game" since '11, left the club one point above the relegation zone with six games to play (BBC, 4/6).
