Event Notes: Hurling To Return To Fenway Park In November

Fenway Sports Management, AIG, the Gaelic Players Association and the Gaelic Athletic Association announced hurling will return to Fenway Park with a doubleheader in the AIG Fenway Hurling Classic and Irish Festival on Nov. 19. Similar to '15, teams will play a modified version of hurling called "Super 11's," which reduces the pitch to 11 players (FSM).

This year's Scottish Youth Cup Final between Rangers and Celtic "could be held behind closed doors because of a history of crowd trouble." The Old Firm U20 sides "come to a head" at Hampden Park on April 26, "sandwiched right in between two meetings of their senior sides in six days." Two seasons ago, when the sides last met in the final, "only a small number of ticket-holding fans were allowed entry after trouble at two consecutive Glasgow Cup Finals" at a U17 age group (Scotland DAILY RECORD, 4/6).
