Cricket Wellington "snared" one of New Zealand Football's leading administrators, with CAM MITCHELL confirmed as its new CEO. After a "lengthy appointment process" following PETER CLINTON's December confirmation he was stepping aside, Mitchell was "rubber stamped" this week by Cricket Wellington Chair SALLY MORRISON and "will be the youngest to take the CEO's reins" when he starts on July 3 (STUFF, 4/5).
COACHES/MANAGERS: League Championship side Rotherham United appointed interim coach PAUL WARNE as its manager "on a one-year rolling contract." The 43-year-old took over in November after KENNY JACKETT's resignation (BBC, 4/5). ... Spanish second division side Mallorca named SERGI BARJUÁN its new coach. Barjuán replaces JAVIER OLAIZOLA. This is Mallorca's second coaching change of the season. Barjuán's first game will be Saturday against Nàstic. Mallorca is currently in 21st place out of 22 teams in the league and is in danger of relegation to Spain's third tier (SPORT, 4/4).
