ManU Expects Sleeve Sponsorship Will Be Worth £15M A Year

ManU expects its official sleeve partner to be worth £15M ($18.6M) per season, according to Daniel Cutts of THE SUN. The club is "already negotiating with a number of big-money brands" about becoming its sponsor starting next year. Man City became the first Premier League club to "start the bizarre partnerships" when it signed a deal believed to be for £12M ($14.9M)-a-season with Nexen Tire. ManU is understood to be "close" to agreeing to a larger contract, thought to be with one of its "existing stable of sponsors." An Old Trafford source said, "The club expect this to be a huge deal. We think it will beat or match anything else in the league" (THE SUN, 3/28).
