Tottenham Hotspur Announces Post-Tax Profit Of £33M For '15-16

Tottenham Hotspur’s latest financial results "revealed that the north London club made a post-tax profit" of £33M for the year ending June 30, 2016, according to Nicholas Godden of the LONDON TIMES. Club Chair Daniel Levy said that the club has "still not made a final decision on whether to leave White Hart Lane at the end of this season." Tottenham enjoyed its "highest ever Premier League finish last season," securing a position in the top three and qualifying for the Champions League for only the second time in its history. These "healthy financial results serve as a reminder of the excellent work" Manager Mauricio Pochettino has done at White Hart Lane "in order to turn Tottenham into one of England’s best teams while maintaining a healthy bank balance." Revenue last season rose to a record high of £209.8M, up 7% from £196.4M in the previous 12 months, while the club reported net cash of £47.6M. The club’s run to the Europa League round of 16 resulted in gate receipts and prize money totaling £18.7M, while TV and media revenues reached £94.8M (LONDON TIMES, 3/29).
