Man City Owner In Talks With Uruguayan Second Division Side El Torque

A club in Uruguay is Man City's "latest objective" as it looks to continue to expand, according to CLARÍN. Uruguayan newspaper El País reported Man City owner City Football Group is eyeing El Torque, which competes in the Uruguayan second division. A group of European businessmen that includes Man City advisers "has been working for some time with the Uruguayan side." The group helped El Torque build a sports complex for its professional team, as well as one for its youth players. For CFG to buy the club, "it needs the approval" of the Uruguayan FA (AUF) (CLARÍN, 3/22).
